Privacy Policy

This is a translation. The Spanish version of this policy is the one that prevails.
This page explains what information of yours I keep, what I use it for, how long I keep it and how you can ask me to delete it. It is written to comply with the Dominican Republic's Law No. 172-13 on Personal Data Protection.
Who I am
Nelson Almeida, an individual, Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic. I work under the name Imprimi.do.
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone and WhatsApp: +1 849-265-1336
I am the one who decides what is done with your data, and I am the person to complain to.
What I keep, and why
When you write to me through the contact form:
| Data | What for |
|---|---|
| Your name | to know how to address you |
| Your email address | to send you the quote and reply to you |
| Your message | to understand what you need |
When you send me a 3D file:
| Data | What for |
|---|---|
| The file (STL, STEP, OBJ or 3MF) | to calculate the quote and print the part |
| The original file name | to be able to talk to you about “your part”, not a code |
| Format, size and date | to process the file and keep orders in order |
| Your IP address | to prevent abuse of the form — nothing else |
I also keep a technical log of uploads (date, format, size and IP address) so I know what happened if something fails. That log is not deleted with the file: it is the server's history. It doesn't contain your name, your email or the content of the part.
I don't ask for, need or want your ID card number, your exact address, your date of birth or card details. If you send them to me in a message, I'll ask you not to.
How long I keep it
| Situation | Time |
|---|---|
| You asked for a quote and there was no order | 90 days |
| There was an order | 12 months from when I received the file |
After that period the files are deleted automatically. It isn't a promise that depends on me remembering: there is a process that runs every day and does it on its own, and when each thing was deleted is recorded.
My server's backups take up to 7 more days to be recycled. After that, no copy of your file remains anywhere.
⚠️ All of this applies to 3D files. Your contact message is different: it arrives in my email inbox and stays there, like any email, until I delete it. There's no automatic process that does it for me — and I'd rather tell you than have you assume otherwise. If you want me to delete it, ask me.
The 12 months exist for a practical reason: if a part breaks or you need another one the same, you don't have to send me anything again.
Who I share it with
I don't sell or pass on your data or your files to anyone. Your model doesn't leave my server: I don't print it for anyone else, I don't publish it and I don't pass it to anyone. I am the only person who opens your files.
For the site to work I use two technical services that make no decisions about your data and don't use it for anything else:
- Cloudflare, through which the encrypted connection between your browser and my server passes. It also measures visits to the site (Web Analytics) anonymously: it uses no cookies and collects no personal data.
- My email provider, through which your contact message reaches me.
⚠️ And there's one thing I'd rather tell you than have you assume: when a file arrives, I receive a notification on my phone with the file name. That notification goes through an external notification service. The file is NOT sent — only the name. If your file's name says something you'd rather not have leave here, change it before sending it to me.
The home page says “Private files — not shared”. That's true: the file doesn't leave my server. This is the full version, with the details.
Your photos and your parts
I don't publish photographs of your parts on the site, on social media or anywhere else without asking your permission first, in writing, for that specific part. If I ask and you say no, that's fine and nothing changes.
Your rights
Law 172-13 gives you the right to access the data I hold about you, rectify it if it's wrong, and ask me to delete it.
To exercise these rights, write to me at [email protected]. You don't need to justify yourself or use any particular wording: just ask.
I reply within 5 working days at most. If you ask me to delete your file, I delete it the same day and confirm it to you — I don't wait for the automatic period to run out. The last backup disappears 7 days later at most.
Security
Files are stored outside the public part of the website, with a randomly generated name, and are not accessible from any internet address. Nobody can reach them by guessing a link.
I'll be frank with you: I'm one person working alone, not a bank. I do what is within my reach and what I believe is reasonable, but I can't promise you absolute security — nobody honest can.
Changes
If I change anything in this policy, I update the date at the top. If the change is important — for example, if the time periods changed — I'll let you know by email before it affects you.
