Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 16 August 2026
This is a translation. The Spanish version of these terms is the one that prevails.
These are the rules of the service, written in plain language. If anything is unclear, ask me before you place an order — I'd rather explain it than have a surprise later.
Imprimi.do is the trading name of Nelson Almeida, an individual, based in Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic. Contact: [email protected] · +1 849-265-1336
1. What I do, and what I don't
I 3D-print parts to order, and I do design and modelling when needed.
I don't sell anything through this website. There is no cart and no online payment. Everything starts with a quote and ends with a part delivered by hand.
2. How it works
- You send me your file (STL, STEP, OBJ or 3MF, up to 50 MB) or tell me what you need. A photo or a measurement also works.
- I quote in less than 24 hours, with material, time and price.
- If you accept, you pay 50% and I start.
- I print and deliver in about 10 days.
- You pay the other 50% when you receive the part.
Asking for a quote doesn't commit you to anything. It's free and there's no small print.
3. The quote
- It's valid for 30 days. After that it may change, especially if the price of the material has changed.
- It's a fixed price for the work described. If you change the part, the measurements or the material partway through, I tell you what that changes before going on.
- I start printing when you confirm in writing — by email or WhatsApp — that you accept the quote. That confirmation is what turns a conversation into an order.
4. Payment
50% on accepting the quote, 50% on delivery.
The first 50% covers the material and machine time, which are used up even if the part is never delivered. That's why it's paid before I start.
⚠️ I'm an individual without an RNC: I issue a receipt, not a tax invoice with ITBIS credit. If you need a tax receipt to deduct the expense, tell me before you order, because I can't issue one.
5. Timeframes
About 10 days from when you confirm and pay the first 50%.
It's a realistic timeframe, not an optimistic one — but it's an estimate, not a guarantee. A large part, a difficult material or a printer breakdown can extend it. If it's going to be late, I'll let you know; I won't leave you waiting without news.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel free of charge within the first 24 hours after accepting the quote, or until I start printing — whichever comes first. I refund the full 50%.
I let you know when I'm about to start, so you know when that window closes.
After that I can no longer refund it. A 14-hour print cancelled halfway through can't be resold or reused: the material and machine hours have already been spent. That's the part the initial 50% covers, and that's why it's paid before I start.
7. If the part comes out wrong
If the mistake is mine — I printed in the wrong material, the machine failed, I didn't follow what we agreed — I reprint it free of charge. No argument.
If the mistake comes from the file — walls too thin, open geometry, wrong measurements, a scale that isn't what you thought — the reprint is quoted separately. I print what the file says; I can't guess what the part was supposed to be.
To keep this fair and not an argument:
- I check your file before quoting and warn you if I see a problem that will produce a bad part. If I don't spot it and it was visible, I take my share.
- If you have doubts about the file, tell me beforehand. Checking it with you is free; reprinting isn't.
8. What the part will look like
A 3D-printed part doesn't look like a render or an injection-moulded part. It has visible layer lines, marks where the supports were, and tolerances of tenths of a millimetre. That's the nature of the technology, not a defect.
Keep the material in mind too:
- PLA deforms with heat. Don't leave it in a closed car in the sun.
- PETG and ABS withstand more, but neither is metal.
- No part I print is suitable for medical, aeronautical or structural use, or for anything where a failure puts a person at risk.
If your part has to meet a specific tolerance or withstand a specific force, tell me before I quote — it may change the material, the price, or my answer.
9. Your file, your rights
By sending me a file you confirm that you have the right to have it printed: that it's yours, that you have permission from whoever made it, or that it's free to use.
I don't check the ownership of every model — I have no way to. But if someone claims rights over a part I printed for you, that is between that person and you.
Your file is yours. I don't use it for anything else, I don't share it, and I don't keep it longer than I state in the Privacy Policy.
10. What I don't print
I reserve the right to refuse any order, without having to explain why. These are the most common reasons:
- Firearms, their parts or components. Making them is a crime in the Dominican Republic, and there's no discussion possible on this.
- Copies of keys, credentials, cards or anything made to open or impersonate something that isn't yours.
- Models protected by third-party rights without permission.
- Parts for medical, aeronautical or structural use, where a failure hurts someone.
- Sexually explicit content.
- Anything that I simply don't feel comfortable printing.
If I refuse an order before starting, you pay nothing. If you had already paid the 50%, I refund it in full.
11. The limits of my liability
I answer for the work I do: if the part comes out wrong through my fault, I reprint it, or refund what you paid for it.
I'm not liable for what happens to the part afterwards — for the use you make of it, for anything that fails in the object you fit it to, or for indirect losses. My liability extends, at most, to what you paid for that job.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic.
If something goes wrong, write to me first. Most problems are solved with a conversation, and I'd rather solve it that way.
